Dr Maree Pekin is a gastroenterologist practicing at Specialist Centre Ballarat.

Maree completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne. Her physician training was undertaken at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. She was trained in gastroenterology at St George Hospital Sydney and The Canberra Hospital. Maree has lived and worked as a gastroenterologist in Ballarat since 2002.
Maree is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a member of GESA (Gastroenterological Society of Australia). She is a member of the Australian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Association (AIBDA). Maree’s gastroscopy and colonoscopy training was originally certified by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Endoscopy. Maree has been recertified as a colonoscopist twice in recent years.
